The Facebook Ad
So, for the past few years, I have always seen ads for Cuddle Clones on my Facebook newsfeed and have been curious. I love headcovers, and I always thought the idea of having a personalized headcover featuring a man’s best friend was pretty cool.
I never pulled the trigger, that’s is, until we lost Spanky. Spanky, an English Bulldog, was just about to turn 9 when he suddenly contracted congestive heart failure. Design Process

Let me tell you; the whole process was more in-depth than I could have ever imagined. The website was very intuitive and required pictures from several different angles. Luckily, my camera roll was still full of photos of Spanky, so finding a good image from the front, back, bottom, and the top was pretty easy.
Spanky had a birthmark on the top of his head, at least that’s what we called it. It’s very distinctive and something that always stood out to my family. I love that the website allowed me to enter notes and point out specific characteristics that I wanted to make sure they included in the design of my Cuddle Clone.
After submitting my order several days later, I was presented with a proof. Reviewing the proof was easy, and believe it or not, they knocked it out of the park, and I immediately approved and moved to the production stage. After about ten days, I was notified the headcover was finished and being shipped.
The Result
A few days later, my Spanky Cuddle Clone arrived, and boy did it bring back memories. We move the Cuddle Clone around the house, and if you didn’t know better, you would think Spanky was in the room with us. Even now, a few months after delivery, I catch myself taking a second look.
