Pointe Royale Golf Village is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026, marking four decades as one of Branson’s most established golf communities.
When Pointe Royale opened in 1986, Branson entertainers such as Andy Williams and Mickey Gilley were among the notable residents who called the community home and frequented its golf course. Over the years, the club also became a regular destination for performers including Glen Campbell, Shoji Tabuchi, the Lennon Sisters, Jimmy Osmond, Charley Pride and Johnny Lee.

Today, Pointe Royale operates as a gated resort community and semi-private golf club, welcoming property owners, vacation guests and public golfers. Its centerpiece is The Pointe Golf Course, an 18-hole layout known for its dramatic elevation changes, water hazards and demanding approach shots.
Playing to approximately 6,400 yards with a par of 70, The Pointe is a classic shot-maker’s course that rewards accuracy and thoughtful club selection. Water comes into play on eight holes, while the course features bentgrass greens, Bermuda grass surrounds and Zoysia collars and chipping areas.
The course’s elevation changes and compact routing can make it play considerably more difficult than its scorecard yardage suggests.
Beyond golf, Pointe Royale offers three swimming pools, including an indoor pool, along with a fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, basketball courts, a lakeside hiking trail and access to Lake Taneycomo. The Grill restaurant and the property’s banquet facilities are also open to the public.
More than 430 individually owned condominiums, ranging from one to four bedrooms, are available to nightly guests. Participating properties offer stay-and-play packages that include an 18-hole round with a golf cart for $59.99. Rental clubs are also available.
Pointe Royale plans to commemorate its anniversary throughout the remainder of 2026 with restaurant specials, community events, an owners’ appreciation lunch, a Thanksgiving feast and Kansas City Chiefs viewing parties. Regular activities such as bingo, game nights, yoga, water aerobics and pickleball will also continue.
Golfers visiting Pointe Royale can easily pair a round at The Pointe with several of Branson’s other acclaimed courses. The destination’s golf lineup includes Ozarks National, Buffalo Ridge, Payne’s Valley, Branson Hills, LedgeStone, Thousand Hills and Holiday Hills.
Branson also offers several distinctive short-course experiences, including Mountain Top, Top of the Rock and Cliffhangers, along with a putting course at Top of the Rock.
Together, the area’s combination of championship golf, short courses, lodging, restaurants and entertainment has helped establish Branson as one of the Midwest’s most complete golf destinations.
