Quivira Golf Club is a golfer’s paradise on Mexico’s southern tip of the Baja Peninsula. When you step onto the golf course, you’re greeted with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean’s rugged coastline and unmatched hospitality stations. But that’s just the beginning; once you’ve worked up an appetite on the greens, you will want to experience the mouth-watering tacos at Quivira Golf Club.
Let’s start with the golf course. Designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, Quivira Golf Club is a masterpiece of golf architecture. The course stretches over 7,000 yards and features breathtaking ocean views on every hole. But don’t let the scenery distract you too much – this challenging course will test even the most experienced golfers. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are fast, but the reward for playing well is like a ticket to heaven. This course also features several unique holes, including one perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Playing at Quivira is truly an unforgettable experience.
Quivira Golf Club features a variety of holes that incorporate the area’s natural terrain, including dramatic cliffs, rolling dunes, and sweeping ocean views, including five oceanfront holes that are some of the most beautiful in the world.
One of the unique features of Quivira Golf Club is how the holes are laid out. This course is designed to be played in three loops of six holes, allowing golfers to enjoy various landscapes throughout their round. Each loop of six holes has a distinct character, which keeps the game exciting and engaging.
The first loop of six holes starts with a challenging par-4 that features a fairway that slopes from right to left. This hole sets the tone for the round, as you must be strategic with your shots to avoid the bunkers and other hazards strategically placed throughout the course.
Quivira is out of this world, and the most extortionary golf course I have ever played.

The second loop of six holes is known for its stunning ocean views. This loop includes the famous 13th hole, a par-3 that requires players to hit their shot over a deep ravine onto a green perched on the edge of a cliff. This hole is not for the faint of heart, but it is one of the most memorable holes on the course.
The third loop of six holes is the most challenging of the three. This loop includes several long par 4s and a difficult par-5 that requires golfers to navigate around a large lake. The final hole is a stunning par-4 with a green nestled between two massive dunes.
Jack Nicklaus Design has done an excellent job of incorporating the natural beauty of the Baja Peninsula into the course while also providing golfers a challenging and engaging round of golf. Whether you are a seasoned pro or a beginner, Quivira Golf Club is a must-play course for anyone visiting Cabo San Lucas.
And then there are the tacos. Mexican cuisine is known for its bold flavors and fresh ingredients, and the tacos at Quivira Golf Club are no exception. You will be satisfied if you’re in the mood for fish tacos, carne asada tacos, or something else. The tacos are made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients; each bite is flavorful. And the best part? You can enjoy them while taking a few minutes to relax between holes at one of the many hospitality stations along the course.
If you’re looking for a golf course that will take your breath away – both on and off the greens – look no further than Quivira Golf Club. With its stunning ocean views, challenging course, and mouth-watering tacos, this club truly has it all. So, pack your clubs, bring your appetite, and prepare for an unforgettable golf round!
Quivira is such an over-the-top fantastic experience that they have moved into the top spot on the Golf Aficionado Top 10. In 2022 it was hands down the best golf course we played all year and the best hospitality we have ever experienced on a golf course period.
Remember, you can only play Quivira Golf Club if you are a member or are staying at a Pueblo Bonita property such as Pueblo Bonita Pacifica.
