Why Streamsong Should Be Your First Stop Post COVID-19

In Florida, Golf Courses by Rob Spellman

As we all try to claw our way back to some sort of normalcy, the first steps are sure to be cautious.  I’m thankful for my health but not being able to travel over the past couple of months, I’ve felt like a caged bird wanting to get out and spread my wings!

Thanks to Streamsong, I was able to get out last weekend, put some miles on the car and played Streamsong Black, one of the best golf courses in the state.  Not only did I enjoy a round on Streamsong Black, but I stayed overnight and ate at restaurants.  Crazy talk, I know, but for the first time since the COVID-19 lockdown ended, I’ve now been able to venture out and regain some sense of sanity.  The Lakeside Lodge at Streamsong officially reopened on May 15, 2020, along with a variety of dining options.

The Lakeside Lodge, modern comfort with natural earth tones

I’ve had the opportunity to stay at Streamsong several times over the years. It’s one of my happy places for sure.  While the Streamsong Blue and Streamsong Red courses are currently closed undergoing a regrassing project, Streamsong Black is open and available for play.  So, if you’re thinking about playing 36 holes, both rounds will have to be on Streamsong Black.

With only Streamsong Black open and everyone just starting the recovery from COVID-19, Streamsong wants to remind Florida residents that there is no need to jump on a plane because the best golf in the country is right here in your backyard. For golfers looking for a night or two away, the Lakeside Lodge at Streamsong is the perfect place to get you out of the house. Although some activities will be limited or unavailable given safety precautions at this time, there are still plenty of beautiful views, excellent food, and incredible golf to enjoy.

In addition to 18-holes on Streamsong Black, players can enjoy complimentary use of the two-acre, 18-hole putting green, The Gauntlet, as well as the Roundabout, the resort’s free-flowing practice area which features seven holes ranging from 70-150 yards.
